The Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac,  after the analysis of so far collected evidence and facts on part of the Higher Public Prosecution Office in Novi Sad and the Supreme Public Prosecution Office, in relation to the possible commission of several criminal offenses with corruptive elements during the undertaking of all activities of initiating, planning, projecting and execution of works and putting into use the Railway Station Novi Sad, without limitations of its acting as to other actions and events that may turn out to be related to the above, decided the files of this case to be submitted to the Public Prosecution Office for Organized Crime, and the acting public prosecutor of the Special Department for Suppression of Corruption of the Higher Public Prosecution Office in Novi Sad to be temporarily referred for work and further acting in this case in the Public Prosecution Office for Organized Crime.

This decision was made because the established state of facts indicates a well-founded suspicion that criminal acts falling under the jurisdiction of state authorities competent for organized crime and terrorism were committed.

We would like to specially emphasize that the proceedings for determining responsibility for the loss of life of 15 persons in the collapse of the canopy of Novi Sad Railway Station, which is being conducted by the Higher Public Prosecution Office in Novi Sad, continues independently and with the highest level of priority, and that we expect the filed indictment against 13 persons to enter into force soon.

The public will be continuously informed about further steps and actions that will be taken by the Public Prosecution Office for Organized Crime.

Supreme Public Prosecutor Zagorka Dolovac also uses this opportunity to invite the representatives of the students’ protests to a meeting with a goal of deliberating  the fulfillment of their requests that are within the jurisdiction of the Public Prosecution Office.
