During the visit the Republic Public Prosecutor attended a working meeting with Mr. Jean-Claude Marin, the Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of France at the Supreme Court of Cassation, where common priorities in the field of combating all types of crime were confirmed, particularly regarding organised crime and other serious types of crimes, through intensified co-operation of the competent public prosecutor’s offices of the two amicable countries.
On Wednesday, 10 April 2013, the Republic Public Prosecutor, Ms. Zagorka Dolovac, signed a Joint Declaration on Co-Operation in Combating Organised Crime between the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Serbia and the Directorate for Criminal Matters and Pardons of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of France, together with the Head of the Directorate, Ms. Marie-Suzanne le Queau, with the support of the Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of France, Mr. Marin, the Head of the Office for Combating Organised Crime, Terrorism and Money Laundering, Mr. Philippe de Monjour, the Head of the European and International Affairs Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of France, Mr. Eric Maitrepierre, as well as in the presence of other high-ranking officials from the judicial authorities and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of France and the delegation of the Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Serbia.
The signing of the Declaration, which immediately entered into force, enabled the improvement of the efficient co-operation between the public prosecutor’s offices of the Republic of Serbia and France in many ways, out of which the establishment of direct contact points with regard to organised crime and other serious types of crimes at the prosecutor’s offices in Serbia and France particularly stands out.Upcoming events
